List Of Best Cruise Deals Across The Net

Big Tip Of The Day

Is it the truth or more Cyber Junk?
Check it out with these links.

Frankly, it would be a waste of bandwidth for me to keep a database of all the cyber junk floating around when the big guys (hoaxbusters, symantec, snopes) have already done it.  What I will do is provide a short but valuable list of the best resources to research your email to find out if it's made a hoax list or if it's a "for real" email.

There is also a short list of places to get a free disposable email address here

Hoaxbusters at http://hoaxbusters.ciac.org/HoaxBustersHome.html is a great source of information about hoaxes of all kinds with many examples and links to the 'busting' information.  Includes sections on just about anything that can land in your mailbox.

Snopes.com at http://www.snopes.com/ specializes in urban legends and rumours - even if you aren't researching an email, it can be fun to read such as their page on New Years Superstitions

Chain Letters at http://www.cs.rutgers.edu/~watrous/chain-letters.html tells you more than you could ever want or need to know about chain letters including schemes.

Truth or Fiction at http://www.truthorfiction.com/ another searchable site for discovering the truth or untruth about your email.

Symantec at http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/hoax.html is my first choice to check the validity of those virus warnings - they also have listed those "too good to be true" promotions

About.com's page at http://urbanlegends.about.com/od/internet/a/current_netlore.htm has information about Current Netlore and even a quiz for you to take to see how much you've learned!

F-Secure at http://www.f-secure.com/virus-info/hoax/ with what they claim is "considered the industry standard information source for new virus hoaxes and false alerts" - These are virus hoaxes only.

Death to Spam at http://www.mindworkshop.com/alchemy/nospam.html in depth discussion of spam and what do do with and about it.
