Email Hoaxes and Warnings - Medical Scares and product warnings related to your health believing them could be dangerous to your health!

It seems like every time we turn around there is something else that's bad for you.  You hear it on the news constantly - another product banned, pulled, recalled.

If that isn't bad enough, even the prescription medications advertised on television and radio give you a 5 minute long list of possible side effects that pretty much assure you that whatever condition this drug is for, it can't be worse than the side effects of the cure!No wonder we are so ready to believe the email that tells us that we shouldn't drink water frozen in plastic bottles, buy ice from an ice machine, drink coca-cola or pepsi due to tainting, or consume canola oil!

The fact is that while there are emails floating around warning of all these things, they are all hoaxes.  Fortunately, avoiding a product because it is believed to be harmful, in these cases, won't harm anyone but the companies that produce them and while that's good news on one hand, these rumours cause enough damage to the companies that produce these products that many of them have to post on their websites to dispute the emails.  A nice reward for the original hoaxter!

But, there are also those emails that could actually harm you if you were to take the advice offered!  For instance, the "cough cpr" email that instructs you in how to save your own life in the case of a heart attack when alone. (see this in the samples section)

When one of these so called health alerts or warnings appears on your screen be SKEPTICAL check it out with the sources on the links page and if you are still worried, consult your doctor or health professional - otherwise someone is getting a sick laugh at your expense!
